Underwriting

As a non-commercial, educational radio station, BSR cannot sell advertising. However, like National Public Radio (NPR), we do air underwriting spots that acknowledge individuals, businesses, and organizations that support the station.

Through underwriting, you and your business can be identified as a sponsor of BSR. You will enjoy the benefits of having the public associate your business with the values of community participation, education, and diversity. Tax-deductible underwriting is an excellent way to reach Providence's diverse communities, as well as students at Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and other schools throughout the city. Our rates are affordable and include in-house production costs.

Donations

BSR is dedicated to providing our listeners with high-quality, non-commercial programming. For over a decade, we have been serving the curious listener, both in Providence and around the globe, with a diverse array of music and features programming. Through a tax-deductible donation, you can show your support for BSR and ensure that the station continues to grow in the coming years.

BSR currently accepts donations in the form of checks or money orders. Please make all checks out to Brown University with "BSR" written on the memo line. This will facilitate the processing of your check, and 100% of your donation goes to the station. If you would like to earmark your donation for a specific station expense, we are more than happy to accommodate that request. Any questions regarding donations should be sent to stationmanager@bsriive.com.
